Savings cards: paying $25 with insurance

When the makers' savings cards work, their limits, and who can't use them.

Checked October 10, 2026
As little as $25 a month

If your commercial insurance covers your GLP-1, the maker's savings card can bring your share down to $25.

The two main cards

CardYou paySavings limit
Wegovy savings card (pill or shot)As little as $25Up to $100 a month
Zepbound savings card (single-dose pen)As little as $25Up to $100 a month, $1,300 a year

The Zepbound card ends December 31, 2026. Novo Nordisk hasn't announced an end date for the Wegovy card but can change it at any time.

Who can't use them

Anyone on Medicare (including Part D and Advantage), Medicaid, TRICARE, VA or another government plan. If you have both work insurance and a government plan, you count as government-insured.

If your plan doesn't cover it

The cards then work like a cash discount: the Zepbound KwikPen costs $299 to $449 a month with the card. For Wegovy, the cash prices from NovoCare apply. Compare them in our Wegovy and Zepbound guides.

Good to know

What you pay with a card doesn't count toward your insurance deductible or out-of-pocket maximum, and you can't claim the savings back from an HSA or FSA.
